Leveraging Your Feminine Wiles to Win Favor Online Entertainment, Silly Stuff Posted by: KillJoy - March 27, 2007 11:27 AM A friend of mine recently confessed that he had been using his wife's voice to win favor with teammates online, specifically in Dungeons and Dragons Online. His strategy is relatively simple--he plays a female character and has his wife say a few words over the in-game voice chat before and during adventures to convince other players that he is indeed, female. (He, of course, is not.)
He claims, and I believe him, that other players simply start handing him treasure, granting him special favors, etc. Of course, with his wife saying things like "let's do something or I'm going to go have a bubble bath and a beer," it's no wonder the mostly male crowd begins catering to his character. Of course, his wife isn't always in the mood to provide such motivation. One night my friend was bemoaning this problem. Being me, I had to come up with a technical solution:
I can't help but feel a little, well dirty, for suggesting this. Sigh.
