Vampires Back on TV (Thanks SpikeTV!)
Entertainment, On The Radar, Top 10ish

The fledgling network that brought us gems like Stripperella (hey, don't knock it if you never saw it!) is now bringing us:

Kirk “Sticky” Jones is no Wesley Snipes but has turned in an impressive array of performance on the big and small screen. With David S. Goyer behind one of the pens, this has potential.
However, IMO, TV vamps haven't worked since Kindred: The Embraced back in the mid-90s, and The Curse of Dracula from the Cliffhanger series in the late 70s. (Bonus points for any reader who remembers even one of those two!) Of course, SpikeTV is known for octane, which will be necessary to make Blade the Series fly. I'll be watching (even though there won't be a cameo by spandex-clad Kate).
(Note: Series begins this week.)
