It looks like IPTV might be ready for the big leagues. Of course, no industry will pony up money to ride the wave prematurely. Well, no industry but the adult industry which isn't shy about adopting new, promising technology.
The ITVN System has opened up 70-some odd porn channels that can be received by the XTV box. Initial reports/reviews are quite promising--focusing on the product features, high-rate streaming, and uh, picture quality. The cost of the service is ~$100 for the hardware and $30/month for the programming. (Yes, it's a little high, but so are monthly subs to existing channels like Playboy.) I don't know many people who need 70+ individual streaming porn channels, but for those that do, XTV is here for you.
