Unfunny Family Guy

Is it just me or does every bit on Family Guy go on waaaay too f-ing long? Methinks the writers could have learned a thing or two about the subtle side of humor from The Simpsons. I suppose some jokes need the gentle whacking with the humor 2x4, but every bit? Ugh.
