Dragon Fest

The SCI FI CHANNEL is showing a dragon fest on Saturday, January 24th.

The line-up includes Dragonheart and two new SCI FI CHANNEL Pictures, Dragon Storm and Dragon Fighter. The former SCI FI original is set in medieval times while the latter is set in modern times.

Here's SCI FI's promo text:

SCI FI PICTURES: DRAGON FIGHTER

It's a real reign of fire as helicopter gunships fight a genetically modified dragon in — seriously — one of the most startlingly real depictions of these mythic beasts ever filmed. Dean Cain (Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Futuresport), Robert Zachar (Star Trek: First Contact) and gorgeous newcomer Kristine Byers star in this exquisitely realized vision of a legend come to life. You'll believe dragons can fly ... and kill. Directed by Phillip Roth of the SCI FI Pictures hit IF2: Interceptor Force 2.

Airs Saturday, January 24, at 7PM ET/PT

SCI FI PICTURES PREMIERE: DRAGON STORM

In the Dark Ages, the rulers of two neighboring kingdoms (John Rhys-Davies, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Maxwell Caulfield, Waxwork II: Lost in Time) must put aside their rivalry to combat an alien-dragon menace. Written by Patrick Phillips (IF2: Interceptor Force 2) and directed by Babylon 5 co-star Stephen Furst, it also features Tony Amendola — Teal'c's mentor Bratac on Stargate SG-1.

"a real reign of fire" indeed, if SCI FI's recent "original pictures" track record continues...
